Bags of Talent
The idea was to find a way of promoting the environmental issues of reuse and recycling through the talents of local artists. With the support of The Southville Centre, I secured funding for an exhibition of reusable cotton bags at the CREATE centre in 2003. This event, the first of it’s kind, displayed a range of artist decorated bags and led to workshops in educational and community settings.
In 2004, workshops and a second exhibition was held at the Bristol Children’s Hospital.
‘Bags of Talent’ is a cost-effective artistic and environmental project that is open for artists to take into schools and develop further. If you are interested in finding out more, please contact me.
